Head Chef Matt Cook

After arriving from France and working as a baking hand in a French Bakery on Banque’s current location at 311 Remuera Rd some 25 years ago, Dominique Parat returned to this former Remuera Bank site to open his French inspired Bistro Bar. Dominique has previously opened various successful restaurants including Isobar, Ibiza, Woody’s and the well-known GPK restaurants across Auckland’s suburbs.

The modern interior of Banque offers a relaxed, yet sophisticated ambience. With dark wood floors, varnished wicker chairs, soft grey tile, burnt red and cream stripes, lush brown leather, little corners for privacy; Banque offers a little something for everyone. The roomy bars at either end of the venue along with the private room upstairs provide perfect areas for private parties and functions, of a social or business nature.
